"The Dome Experiment Special" is the fifth episode of Regular Show's seventh season (and the one hundred and eighty sixth overall). It first aired on August 27, 2015, as a half-hour special.
Synopsis[]
Benson is determined to prove he was right about the date of the "Dome Experiment."
Plot[]
Benson makes an announcement during a normal park meeting: the Park is going to be sealed in a dome every month in order to create a contained ecosystem.

- This marks the first half hour special of season seven.
- Rigby keeps a stash of pizza pouches under his trampoline.
- According to the calendar in the episode, the episode takes place in October and it may take place in 2009 or 2015.
- More areas of the Park is shown, such as the Park having a river.
- Although not named, this is the series debut of Pam, one of the dome scientists who will eventually become Benson's new love interest.
- Benson's last name is revealed to be Dunwoody. Matt Price came up with Benson's last name at the top of his head and they felt that the name felt right and they couldn't think of any other names.[1]
- Benson prints every email he receives as a backup.

- This episode is a reference to the CBS television series Under the Dome in many ways.
- A big dome was put over the park.
- A smaller dome was put in the big dome.
- The park workers personality changes when they were under the dome.
- Secret organization living in the dome as well.
- The story also resembles The Simpsons Movie, which also has a dome with prisoners personages.
- The visual Benson, with long hair, camouflage and red headband is a reference to the character Rambo, played by actor Sylvester Stallone.
- While he is preparing to infiltrate the laboratory, Benson hums the word "dome" five times to the tune of the Donkey Kong start theme.
Goofs[]
- When Pops says he's scared, his head is slightly smaller than normal.
- When Benson tells everybody to weapon up and they all pull out their knives, Rigby's mouth is missing.
- This error is fixed in the UK version.
