South of the Line Chile Rellenos are a brand of famous Chile Rellenos created and operated by Hector, which are widely known for their unique spiciness. They first appeared in the Season Four episode Firework Run. However, the secret ingredient for the chile spiciness actually comes from gunpowder, making the chiles completely illegal to sell due to being deemed extreme health hazards by the FDA.
Components[]
Hector states that the South of the Line Chile Rellenos contain 500% gunpowder with zero natural ingredients. It is shown that a single Chile Relleno is no more than the dry husk of a chili pepper filled with at least one entire box of gunpowder.
Because of their extremely toxic, lethal and combustible components, the Chile Rellenos are not only poisonous for normal human consumption, but are also completely unsafe to cook. This is proven when Muscle Man attempts to fry one in a viral internet stunt, resulting in the destruction of both the grill and his clothes.
The Chile Rellenos can also be used as makeshift grenades, as Muscle Man managed to blow up the entire South of the Line Chile Rellenos warehouse by throwing a single chile into a crate full of Chile Rellenos.
History[]
South of the Line Chile Rellenos first appeared in the episode "Firework Run" when Mordecai, Rigby and Muscle Man attempted to buy fireworks from Hector. When Rigby accidentally discovered the production facility that put on display the full production process of the chiles, Hector tried to blow up the gang to ensure they didn't inform the FDA.
After Mordecai, Rigby and Muscle Man escaped and blew up the warehouse, Hector once again tried to kill them only for Mordecai to trick Hector into lighting up the El Diablo. The firework destroyed both Hector and his production facility, ending the South of the Line Chile Rellenos brand forever.
In "New Bro on Campus", Muscle Man attempted a stunt in which he would try to fry the last remaining South of the Line Chile Rellenos, only to have both his clothes and grill disintegrated from the resulting explosion.
