Synopsis[]
Muscle Man and Starla hope game show winnings will pay for their wedding. Outside of the game show at The Park, most of the workers whose been watching Muscle Man and Starla's participation are somehow attacked by an Alien Ants.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Muscle Man, Hive Ghost , Mordecai, Rigby watching TV. Muscle Man was watching the wedding network trying to think of ideas for his and Starla’s wedding. So far, he thought of ten foot tall onion ring towers, special seats that spin donuts, and a blimp that floats above the reception and rains barbecue sauce on command. Then they see a commercial of the game show Married and Broke, a new game show where you can win a free wedding that is made by the makers of Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, I punch your face. However, Muscle Man says that he doesn’t need a game show and decides to afford his wedding with investments on ant farms. But that was until he got a call from Maurice telling him that ant farms are not a real thing to invest in which was a bad investment, that he’s not actually a stockbroker, and that he doesn’t not have money, just ants and ends up getting arrested. Muscle Man then gets a call from Starla about the expensive flowers and that they don’t take ant farms which convinced Muscle Man to join as a contestant in the game show.
At cast calling, the casting director thinks he and Starla were not good enough to be contestants until seeing Muscle Man wrecking the room, she changed her mind and let them compete. Back at the house, Mordecai, Rigby, and Fives were about to start watching Married and Broke and was joined by Skips who tells them to not get crumbs on the floor since he noticed an ant problem caused by Muscle Man’s ant farms. The other couples competing were the ones who sell puppies, an orphan couple, and Teddy and Tina who lost their wedding funds during a war for America. The rules were that the couples will be facing a lot of crazy challenges and the last couple standing wins the free wedding and the game begins. The first challenge was the Tower and Shower which resulted in the orphan couple eliminated, the ring can run, Love Dove, Leap of Faith, which resulted in the puppy selling couple being eliminated, and High Rice leaving Muscle Man and Starla along with Teddy and Tina as the last remaining contestants. At the house, the Park gang was cheering Muscle Man on until they saw some ants getting everywhere.
The final challenge was to get through the Threshold and press the red button to win. Going through the obstacle course, Starla felt like giving up seeing how those two were the perfect couple and thinks she and Muscle Man are second rate. However, Muscle Man tells her that he may have made some bad investments in his life, but his relationship with Starla is not one of them and doesn’t care what people think of them because he loves her and they have something they don’t have: passion. As they kiss, they began sparking energy which breaks through the obstacle course and race against Teddy and Tina, but at that brief moment, after Teddy tossed Tina, she stuck her pinky finger, when has an extended fingernail being able to press the button first which makes the American couple the winners.
As they celebrate, they chant “U.S.A!” But after hearing another A, Muscle Man was able to convince Teddy and Tina to tell the whole story audience the truth, They’re not actually Americans, and revealed that they’re Canadians much to everyone’s shock. The truth was that they were just simple maple farmers where Teddy rides a moose to work everyday and they thought having a fancy American wedding for free was more important than telling the truth. As a result, they’re disqualified for lying and Kyle tells security to get them out of the game show which makes Muscle Man and Starla the winners by default.
At the Park, even though the house was destroyed, the gang was able to get all of the ants, and Pops was able to take out the Alien ants. And they all wondered if Muscle Man won the game show ending the episode.
