"Karaoke Video" is the twenty-eighth and final episode of Season Two (and fortieth episode overall) of Regular Show. It first aired on August 1, 2011.

Synopsis[]

Mordecai and Rigby must find and destroy an offensive video at a karaoke bar.

Plot[]

Mordecai and Rigby spend a night at the Carrey O'Key's karaoke bar singing, "We're Not Gonna Take It Anymore" by Twisted Sister, but in their excitement manage to accidentally trash talk Benson, Pops and Skips. Their speech is taped without their knowledge: they are given a copy, while the bar keeps one of the tapes as a promo.

Mordecai and Rigby need to destroy the tapes before Benson, Pops and Skips see the evidence. However, Benson, Pops, Skips, Muscle Man and Hi Five Ghost see the tape cover and decide to go to the bar for Karaoke night. Mordecai and Rigby try desperately to obtain the master tape, but they end up banned from the karaoke bar instead. As a last resort they try to put Benson off the idea of karaoke, proposing other ideas, but Benson says that he already reserved a table at Carrey O' Keys, and that attendance was now mandatory lest they be fired.

At the bar Pops, Hi Five Ghost, Skips and Muscle Man marvel over the song list, while Benson is still waiting for Mordecai and Rigby, being willing to fire them if they didn't show up. It is revealed that the two are hiding in the air duct. Rigby finds the back office while Mordecai finds the room with the tape in it. In the office, security guard Carl tells the barman that only one singer was signed up that night. The barman says that they must play Mordecai and Rigby's promo to encourage more people to take part.

The start of the promo tape appears on the big screen, with Mordecai and Rigby's rendition being hilarious to Benson and the workers. Mordecai and Rigby jump down from the duct, but before they can cut off the tape, Benson sees a few seconds of Mordecai making fun of him.

As the tape cuts, Carrey apologizes for technical difficulties, and decides to start the singing with Pops. While Pops begins to sing "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins, Carrey catches Mordecai and Rigby in the office as they continue to struggle with the tape. A fight ensues and in the melee the tape slides out of the office and into the karaoke room.

As Carl continues to battle Mordecai and Rigby for the tape, more and more people get involved, including Skips and Muscle Man, before the entire club - including the still-singing Pops - is engulfed in violence. The fight is resolved as Benson catches it; he takes a punch in the face from Carrey and, in return, furiously smashes the tape in Carrey's face as Pops finishes his song. Mordecai and Rigby have been saved in the most unlikely fashion, but they don't yet know it.

Multiple ambulances are outside as Mordecai and Rigby apologize to the rest of the workers, but Benson yells at them for ruining karaoke night. Skips, Pops, Muscle Man, and Hi Five Ghost drive off without them leaving them to walk back to the park by themselves. Mordecai realizes that they hadn't seen the insulting parts of the tape, and shouts after Benson, but can only close the episode with, "Man, karaoke sucks."
